Ted has coached hundreds of emerging and senior leaders in the corporate, entertainment, media, nonprofit, and government arenas. As a consultant, he has brought strategic and financial expertise to small businesses and Fortune 500 companies. As an entrepreneur, Ted has launched ventures in the U.S., Eastern Europe, and Australia. He holds an MBA from The University of Texas. A ten-year practitioner of executive consulting, Ted’s executive coaching specializes in helping high potential entrepreneurs to become polished C-Suite executives. Currently, Ted is a professor at the Acton School of Business, a 100-hour-per-week intensive Entrepreneurship program rated as one of the top 5 MBA degrees in the nation by Princeton Review.
Karen Jordan-Markham
VP of DEVELOPMENT &
EXECUTIVE COACH
Previously, Karen Jordan-Markham was the President and CEO of Marketing Destinations, Inc. The company assisted corporations in strategic planning, partnership development, organizational and performance audits, market assessment and analysis, and stakeholder perception analysis, specializing in businesses associated with the hospitality industry. Prior to founding Marketing Destinations, Inc., Karen was President and CEO of the International Association of Convention and Visitors Bureaus (now DMAI) where she oversaw all operations. Karen came to IACVB from the Austin Convention and Visitors Bureau where she served as Executive Director.
Karen has served on a variety of industry boards and committees. She is a member of the American Society of Association Executives and Meeting Professional International. In her spare time, Karen enjoys traveling, entertaining friends and family, and doing anything outdoors.
Dr. Monica Scamardo
INSTRUCTOR
Dr. Scamardo has worked with 100’s of leaders in profit and non-profit organizations over the last 15 years to get better, faster results. Monica assists in accurately identifying problems that exist which undermine organizational trust, and therefore, impact productivity, profitability, communication, employee engagement, and overall success. As a leadership coach, Monica uses research-based assessments to work with emerging and experienced leaders to gain mastery in key competency areas. Monica speaks at the national, regional, and state level and is known for her approachable style and ability to make research practical to the world of work. She is the Founder and President of Variate, a firm focused on building trusted leaders and teams who get results.
